Your coach and trainer

I'm a qualified and insured mobile personal trainer, operating in the north east since 2005 and I have trained a variety of clients from many different backgrounds, all with vastly different needs. Training can be at home, work, outdoors, or a venue convenient to you. My specialist areas are fat loss, strength training, Kettlebell instruction, Pilates instruction, run coaching and Triathlon coaching.

I trained as a Personal Trainer through Northern Fitness & Education and I am registered with Fitness Professionals. I am qualified in many areas including weight management, client appraisal and fitness assessment, ante and post natal exercise, specialist populations exercise, core stability, Boxercise and Pilates.

As well as my main work as a Personal Trainer I have also taught group classes for major gym chains such as DW Fitness (formerly JJB) and Fitness First, and for major companies such as Sage. I have been featured in Now magazine, Mens Fitness, City Living (Newcastle), Weightwatchers online, and have appeared on ITV's "The Krypton Factor" and BBC's "Look North" - both with clients I trained at that time.

In the Winter of 2014 I appeared on the Channel 5 programme "Go Hard or Go Home" training 4 ladies from the Womens Institute to complete a Triathlon.

I enjoy cardiovascular workouts - running particularly, cycling, weight training, core conditioning work, medicine ball training, kettlebells, pilates and most things related to exercise. I'm also a keen Triathlete.

One to One

Training one to one ensures that you are working towards your own specific goals, and not following a generic one size fits all approach which you will be given in a gym.

Training one to one allows you to choose your training venue, your time, and effectively have the gym come to you rather than the other way around.

Group Sessions

Training as a couple, be it with your partner or friend, can be an excellent way of encouraging and motivating each other to succeed, particularly between sessions with me when one person might lose focus with exercise or nutrition.

Training as a couple is great fun and is a great way of lowering the cost of your sessions.

I also offer group sessions for up to 6 people.

Pilates represents a unique approach to exercise which develops body awareness, increases flexibility and range of movement, tones and lengthens muscles, brings your mind and body into alignment and re-energises your body in a way conventional workouts cannot.

It requires no equipment other than the space to move! It is accessible to anyone, young and old.
